The short version
Ayah Atlas is built to need as little about you as possible. No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no selling of data — ever. You can play without an account.
What stays on your phone
Your progress (scores, streaks, the surahs you know), settings and the year you were born are stored only on your device, unless you choose to create an account.
If you create an account
Accounts use Sign in with Apple. We receive an account ID and, only if you allow it, your email (often an Apple private-relay address) and first name. We store your chosen display name, birth year and a backup of your progress so you can restore it on another phone. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over.
The daily leaderboard
If you are 13 or over and choose to appear on the leaderboard, your display name, your daily score and a random player ID are visible to everyone. You can report names that are offensive; reports are reviewed and offending names removed.
Listen Together rooms
In a room, the name you type and your answers are shared live with the people in that room. Rooms are not recorded or stored after they end.
Recitations, text and fonts
Quran text and fonts are built into the app. Recitations and translations are streamed from Quran.com’s servers (Quran Foundation), which receive your device’s IP address to deliver the audio, as any website would. We do not send them anything else about you.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details; we only learn whether Pro is active.
Children
Children can enjoy the whole app. If someone tells us they were born in a year that makes them 13 or younger, the app does not offer accounts or a public leaderboard name, and nothing about them leaves the device except anonymous audio requests. Parents can contact us at the address below.
Where data is kept
Account data is stored with Supabase (servers in Singapore). It is encrypted in transit and access is limited by row-level security so only you can read your profile.
Your choices
You can change your name, sign out, or delete your account at any time in You → Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, backup and leaderboard scores immediately. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion by email.
